Rapper King Harris faces multiple charges following a weekend traffic stop in Gwinnett County, according to statements from the Gwinnett County Police Department. Harris is the son of rapper T.I. and singer Tiny Harris.
Police said officers observed Harris traveling 60 mph in a 45 mph zone around 1 a.m. Sunday. After initiating a stop, officers approached the vehicle and reported seeing a firearm inside.
Authorities stated Harris “refused commands to exit the vehicle,” prompting officers to remove him and place him under arrest.
During a subsequent search, officers recovered a vape pen containing 10 milligrams of THC, according to police. Harris was booked on a felony count of possession of a controlled substance.

He also faces a misdemeanor charge for willful obstruction of law enforcement officers. Authorities issued additional citations for speeding and a seatbelt violation.
The encounter drew public attention after Harris posted images on Instagram. In one post, he appeared wearing a Pikachu onesie and wrote, “Welp guess you can say they caught da Pikachu wit a master ball.”
In a separate post, he made an explicit gesture toward the camera and directed profane remarks at police.
This arrest follows a prior 2024 incident in DeKalb County. Officers alleged Harris nearly struck a patrol vehicle while exiting a gas station.
Police reported detecting the odor of marijuana and later discovered an outstanding warrant from Pickens County for failure to appear. He was taken into custody without incident in that case.
No formal statement has been issued by Harris or his representatives. The matter remains pending as authorities continue proceedings.
