Ice Spice is breaking her silence following a viral altercation that took place at a McDonald’s.
The Bronx-born musician took to social media Friday evening to address a widely circulated video clip that appeared to show a heated confrontation at the fast-food establishment. Instead of a formal statement, the “Munch” artist opted for a more lighthearted approach to the controversy.
Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, she shared a snippet of a brand-new song alongside a cheeky jab at the golden arches. “This wouldn’t happen at Wendy’s,” she wrote, referencing the rival burger chain.
The post quickly garnered thousands of interactions as fans praised her ability to remain “unbothered” while simultaneously teasing new music. Details regarding the specific cause of the McDonald’s altercation remain scarce, but the clip in question showed the star in the middle of a chaotic scene that had social media users speculating for hours.
The woman seen attacking Spice addressed the situation as well. While speaking with TMZ, she says the incident started with the rapper being dismissive and disrespectful toward her.
The woman, identified only as Vayah, explained, as she walked over to Spice, “Immediately Ice Spice was being rude. She was like, ‘Why are you over here? You can leave, bye,’” Vayah told TMZ.
“She said, ‘I’m from New York,’” Vayah recalled. “Let me tell you something. You’re in LA. You’re in my city now, and you can’t be out here disrespecting people. If you wanted us to leave, you could have just said, politely, ‘I’m not in the mood.’”
